I was in a similar situation as you and had to use this firm. H1B filing experience was fine but the entire GC process and filing was not a good experience at all. There were days I had to call the paralegal and teach him the new immigration laws and that's never a good sign ! Because of their mistake I was stuck in Eb3 rather being in Eb2. May be they will deal differently with your case but have a chat with them and your company managers before you agree to use them. I m with another company and another attorney firm and they are awesome !

i applied for OPT in OCT no response from TSC for a long period ,contacted international officer--she emailed TSC got response no record of such case found.
i had to apply again in DEC they cashed my check for this one so got to know my receipt number.
so i cancelled check of first application as i thought that was missing.
but problem is they processed the application for cancelled check and sent my EAD too.
second application is withdrawn.
now, they came to know that check is cancelled
they put a status that fee payment rejected due to insufficient funds and ill receive a notice.
i waited for 2 weeks received a notice saying ill receive a INVOICE notice from INS dept in which i have to pay amount for that case.
NO INVOICE received and by the time i got my notice from uscis i called to INS they said u are a day late for payment--i said no invoice received so cant get back to you.
i had payed the debt -- but INS said i was a day late
it depends on uscis to decide............
1) now will my application get rejected
2) do i have any chances of refiling again (if rejected)
as i graduated in december my I-20 will expire for refiling .?

And its official now.. USCIS have consolidated on one more conniving trend to continue to keep us in the dark :mad:
The dates are claimed to be "as of " Aug 31st.
When they did this in the last update and said the dates were "as of " July 31 2008, I thought it was going to be a one time thing and in the next update they will give us up to the date info. But hell NO!!
If they only disclose info as of some date in the past, how the hell are we supposed to know whether our case is currently "beyond" normal processing times !!! And how the heck can we file a service request !
They just want us off their back altogether and go at their own pace.
With this staggered (Processing dates and PD) approach, they can manipulate one thing or the other (Spike the PD and retrogress the Proc Date OR vice Versa) and forever juggle and skirt around accountability altogether and don't have to answer or take any status queries at all ! Why don't they use the same intelligence to try to improve their processes and improve their productivity !

Do we need to have the original receipt notices.
I asked my attorney and he said that the copies would be fine.
He sent me scanned receipt notices via e-mail and says that it will
be fine and not ready to send the originals for some reason.
Can you guys think of any reason attorney not willing to give the original receipt notices?

Current Case Status for Form I485 set to "Document production or Oath Ceremony", does it mean that my case is pre-adjudicated ? Or, does it mean that a finger printing appointment request was issued and I succesfully responded to it? Anybody else in a similar situation?

I am having the same issue.Applied AP online on 1/10/11.Got receipt no and Application as PDF.I have the Receipt no and sent all supporting document with LINXXXXXXXX no.But I have been trying to add the case no to my profile and it says not found.I am not sure what can I do or wait for more days.

Its hard to say what is SAME OR SIMILAR. I am stuck up with the same issue. My GC was filed for the position of Software Engineer and I changed the job with same responsibilities but job title is Project Manager. My attorney is not comfortable with that even though the responsibiities are same in the new job.
Its better not take this AC21 path unless you are 100% sure that your new job is same as the old job.
Experts please advise.

I was in a similar situation. I emailed to this address info@phi.dflc.us from my company email. I didn't put anything else ( as per advice in some other forums). Received reply with the case number after a month. Meanwhile I received 45 days letter and so not worried much. As we all know this is a hit and miss. They may reply..but won't hurt to try.

I like the colors, and the silhouetted person. Personally, I think cropping out a lot of the top (roughly the upper 1/2 of the picture) would make it more interesting. This would also give it a panorama-like appearance.

I have just gone thru March recording of IV lawyer call and the below caught my attention. Ms Susan mentioned that any company name change after I140 approval has to refile I 140. I am utterly confused as that particular scenario affect me and i would like to know what best course of action i can take at this point.
I filed LC and I 140 with company A
My I 140 got approved
Before i filed my I 485 my company changed its name
I asked my attorney at that time if we need to take any special action
Attorney said they can just add an amendment while applying for I 485 about name change and apply with approved I 140, which is with old company name.
I and my wife work on EAD for past 3 years and i am still employed with same company. I wonder which one of above attorney is correct and what i should do.
Does the fact that my I485 is pending for more than 180 days after approval of my I 140 will come to rescue in case of question about company name change (AC21)

One simple question to which I get different answers from different attorneys. I currently have US MS + 5 years of experience & working as Project Manager.. When I filed for EB-3 (in 2008) I had MS + 2.5 years of Experience and the role was Software Engineer
When changing from EB3 to EB2 (same Employer), experience with the same employer is considered only when the job duties are >50% different from the existing job.
Attorney 1 says: It should be >50% different from the EXISTING/CURRENT job that you are working on.. For e.g. if you were developer when filing EB-3 and now you are project Manager (which is more than 50% different in my case), you can't file EB-2 for a Project Manager
Attorney 2 says: It should be >50% different from the job description that was used while filing EB-3 labor certification. This lawyer says you can file, because PM is different than developer (which was filed for in EB3 labor)
